These terms cover your use of this website. They do not change your rights as a customer under California law, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, personal injury or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Prices and quotes

There are no prices on this website on purpose. Robert quotes a repair only with the item in hand, because the price depends on what is actually wrong with it. Anything said over the phone is an estimate given without seeing the item, and the price you are given at the counter before you leave it is the one that applies.

Payment, and if a repair isn’t right

Nothing is sold on this website. There is no checkout, no online ordering, no shipping and therefore nothing to return by post. Every repair is arranged in person at the counter, and you are told the price before you leave the item, so you can decide then.

If you are not happy with a repair when you collect it, say so at the counter or bring it back. Robert will look at it. What can be done depends on the item and on what was done to it, and the answer will be straight — the same as when a pair isn’t worth repairing in the first place. Bring your receipt if you still have it.

Payment is taken when you collect. Card payments carry a processing fee, which is why many regulars pay cash. Please collect finished items promptly; the shop is small and storage is limited.

Turnaround times

Any timescales described on this site — including in customer reviews we quote — are examples of past work, not a promise about yours. If you need an item by a particular date, say so when you drop it off and you will be told honestly whether it can be done.

Reviews we quote

The reviews on this site are real, quoted word for word from Google and Yelp with the reviewer’s own name and date, and each links to its source. They describe those customers’ experiences. They are not a guarantee that your repair will turn out the same way. Star ratings and review counts are a snapshot taken on the date printed beside them and will drift over time.

Information on this site

We keep opening hours, services and contact details accurate, but this site is provided as it is, without warranties. Before making a trip, it is worth calling (323) 665-6110 to confirm we are open and can take on your item. Service area pages describe where customers travel from; they do not mean we collect or deliver — everything is drop-off and pick-up at the counter.

Trademarks

Brand names appear on this site only to describe the items the shop has worked on. Robert's Shoe Repair is an independent repair business and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by any brand named. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Our content

The text, photographs and design of this site belong to Robert's Shoe Repair or are used with permission. Please don’t copy them for another business. Linking to us is welcome.

Links out

Where we link to Google, Yelp, Instagram or anywhere else, those sites are run by other people under their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
