Stitching and seam repair
Split seams and broken stitch lines, re-sewn through the holes they came out of.

Machine-stitched leather has one correct repair: the new thread follows the original holes. Anywhere else and the panel puckers and the repair announces itself. That takes an industrial walking-foot machine and an operator who has done it ten thousand times.
Two of the gallery's captions tell you how it comes out. A ripped bag pocket: 'You really need to search to see that this pocket was ever ripped.' A dress shoe whose toe had opened up from heavy wear, glued and stitched closed, for fifteen dollars.
What the job covers
- Split seams re-sewn on smooth leather and suede
- Open toes and vamps closed
- Torn pockets and linings
- Reinforcement backing behind a weak panel

Bring it in if…
- A seam has opened along a stitch line
- The toe of a shoe is opening up
- A pocket has torn at the corner
- The thread has rotted but the leather is fine

Stitching & Seam Repair at the bench
What people said after this exact job.
“They did a great job. I brought in a pair of boots I got at a thrift shop 10 years ago. The soles had come completely unglued from the upper, the heel was worn down, and some of the stitching was coming undone. He replaced the base of the heel, removed the unglued sole to replace it with a much more sturdy and non-slip option, and restitched the leather. They were ready almost a full week before estimated. They look and feel great! I will likely get 10+ more years of wear out of these now.”
“Glued and stitched toe area. Heavy play had broken the stitching and toe was opening up. $15.”
“You really need to search to see that this pocket was ever ripped.”
Stitching & Seam Repair — questions
Will the new stitching match?
Thread color and stitch spacing are matched to the original. On a seam the repair is usually invisible; across a tear it will read as a closed seam.
